Finally the Local, Accused Wine Thief Goes to Trial, Making News in the New York Times

For a village of some 7,500 odd people (and I do mean odd) it sometimes seems as if we have at least 8,500 eccentrics. Perhaps that's the pull of the place. Sausalito Chamber: Why Not Launch a Go Local Program?

What if local business and civic leaders launched a Marin or "just" a Sausalito version of Sonoma County's innovative GoLocal Cooperative? That county above us used the free Ning option to launch their community movement. We have Buy Local banners around town yet locals do not see obvious benefits for them to follow up in some way.

Carl's first designs were space ships, built from Fisher-Price® Construx building sets and tree forts in his backyard here in Sausalito.
